Online Bill Pay

First Credit Union’s online bill pay service offers you the convenience of paying your bills online when you want, where you want, and on the dates you want. Online bill pay helps make managing your money easier and it’s simple to use! Some additional benefits include:

Please note your online bill pay status remains “active” and as long as you pay at least one bill within any 3 month period of time. Your online bill pay status will become "inactive" if you have not paid at least one bill online during any 3 month period. Contact Member Services to get your status reactivated.

 
 
 
How to Enroll

You must first be enrolled in online banking and have an eTeller login to access your account. If you do not have one already, get started at eTeller.

Once you have established your eTeller account, sign in to your account.
Click the Bill Pay link in the left hand menu titled "Member's Bill Pay".
Now, signing up for Bill Pay is as easy as 1-2-3! Bill Pay Demo.

Step 1: Register
 
Step 2: Add a Payee
 
Step 3: Schedule Payment
Enter your e-mail address, first and last name and the last 4 digits of your SSN. After agreeing to the terms, click 'Submit'.   Once registered, you are signed in. To add a payee select the appropriate category in the 'Add a Payee' menu on the left. Enter the required payee information.   Enter your payment information and submit your payment!

How do I enroll in online bill pay?

To enroll in online bill pay, you must first be enrolled in online banking. To enroll in online banking you must have a valid email address. Simply complete an online eTeller application. Once you have completed and submitted your eTeller application, a First Credit Union representative will contact you via email. The email will include additional instructions on how to begin your eTeller experience. Once you are set-up for online banking you can then enroll in online bill pay.

 

Is online bill pay secure?

Online bill pay is recommended by security experts as one of the safest ways to pay your bills. According to Javelin Strategy & Research, 90% of identity theft doesn’t occur through the Internet. Identity thieves still use the tried and true methods of stealing mail or discarded trash. Combined use of online banking and online bill pay helps to protect you against identity theft and check fraud. For additional security, online bill pay requires 128-bit encryption and personalized login information.

 

How are online bill payments sent?

Payments are sent two ways: electronic and paper check. On average, electronic payments are sent to more than 70% of payees. Some payees who can only accept checks and for those payees the online bill payment is debited electronically from your account and an authorized paper check is issued on your behalf and mailed to the payee.

 

What are some benefits of online bill pay?

Online bill pay is the fastest payment method and greatly reduces the risk of human error. Online bill pay offers you the convenience of paying virtually anyone using this service. Save time and money with no more trips to the post office to buy stamps for bills. Gain flexibility because you have the ability to stop payments made through online bill pay before 2:00 pm eastern time on the date they are scheduled to process. Plus payments made with online bill pay are tamper resistant. Electronic bill payments usually are received by the payee within 2–3 business days but can vary. The estimated arrival time for an online bill payment is displayed when you schedule a payment.

 

Are online bill payment guaranteed?

Online bill payments are not guaranteed by the U.S. Postal Service or Automated Clearing House Network (ACH). However, online bill pay offers a payment success rate of 99.99% and greatly reduces the risk of human error. In the event an online bill payment is not received, our online bill pay support will stop and re-issue the payment, as well as provide proof of processing to the payee. Online bill pay also provides a history of your payments and payment information is integrated directly into your account statements.

 

When can online payments be scheduled?

Payments may be submitted at any time, day or night. All payments should be scheduled according to process date and not according to due date. For example, payments should be scheduled to process before the actual due date. Estimated arrival times are automatically displayed during the scheduling process. We recommend scheduling first payments in advance to ensure timely delivery. Payments are electronically debited from your account on the process date. For same day processing, please schedule payments before 3:00 pm eastern time.

 

Who can I pay with online bill pay?

With online bill pay, you can pay virtually anyone with a current address within the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.

In order to use First Credit Union's Bill Pay service you must enable third party cookies in your browser.
 

Internet Explorer
1. Click on Tools then Internet Options.
2. Then click on the Privacy tab and click on advanced.
3. Choose Accept Third-Party Cookies and click OK.

  Netscape
1. Click on Tools in the browser bar.
2. From the drop down select Cookie Manager.
3. On the second drop down select Unblock Cookies from this site.
  Firefox
1. Click on Tools in the browser bar.
