First Credit Union Offers College

Scholarships & Youth Financial Education

Grants

Chandler, AZ – First Credit Union believes in the value and importance of both higher education and youth financial education. Because of that belief and their commitment to the communities they serve, First Credit is continuing, for the fourth year, their “Imagine the Possibilities” College Scholarship Program and Youth Financial Education Grant Program. Both programs are available to First Credit Union members and are intended to help promote higher education and youth financial literacy.

First Credit Union will award up to five, $500 “Imagine the Possibilities” College Scholarships in early 2012 to graduating high school seniors who plan to enroll in a college, university or vocational school, the semester following high school graduation. Applicants must be a First Credit Union member and must submit an application, copy of High School transcript, essay and letter of recommendation. Scholarship application and complete details are available at any branch or download here. The scholarship application deadline is December 31, 2011.

First Credit Union also will award up to three, $250 Youth Financial Education Grants in early 2012 to Arizona educators and other community organizations to assist with teaching financial education to youth. Applicants must be a First Credit Union member and be a current Arizona educator teaching at a private or public Arizona elementary, middle or high school or work at an Arizona community organization.
